Cash and in-kind sponsorships are needed to defray the operational costs of the trip. These include, food, lodging and equipment.

In-kind sponsorship suggestions include the following:

Cash sponsorships will be accepted at any amount, with name recognition on the website.

Additional sponsorship levels are available to give visibility to your organization. A variety of options are available that may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Use of the bicycle journey in ad spots, TV or Internet commercials and ad campaigns
  • 15 – 30 second ad spots on the YouTube posted videos
  • Sponsor name mentions at events, in news releases, flyers and on business cards
  • Exclusivity by region, product or niche
  • Personal appearances at company functions or locations
  • Pre-recorded messages or product/service specific ads
  • Banners and widgets on the website with links to your site
  • Logo placement on appropriate materials or equipment (bicycle or trailer) for periods of time
  • Executive or Associate Producer status for the documentary film

Where does the money go?

  • Sponsorships enable me to pay for my expenses on the trip
  • Charitable donations go directly to Share or the charity of your choice

Charitable Giving: I do not intend to profit significantly from this endeavor. Sponsors who decide to provide cash can be assured that their money will go to supporting the journey or will be channeled to charity. The primary charity that I intend to support is Share, a non-profit organization which serves the homeless and hungry in Clark County Washington. Some money may be channeled to local charities that serve a similar cause as I become aware of them on the trip. Share is an organization that has a superb reputation for delivering services to its clients. 94 cents of every dollar donated to Share is used to support its clients. There is a direct link to Share’s donation page on my website so that people can be certain that their money is indeed going to charity.

As you consider sponsorship opportunities be aware that my journey will take me through the following 26 states:

Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, New York, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California.
